Companion care is all about enhancing quality of life through social interaction, assistance with daily tasks, and emotional support. It’s not medical care, but rather a helping hand and a friendly face for seniors who may need extra support to maintain their independence.
My Companion Care Program is designed to provide seniors with emotional and social support, helping them stay engaged, active, and independent.
Specific Services Available:
Friendly visits and social engagement
Play games, go for walks
Assistance with daily activities
Errand running, including shopping
Light housekeeping, including laundry
Meal preparation and planning
Accompany to appointments and take notes of what doctor/specialist relays
Schedule medical appointments/transportation
There are some services that I am not able to support at the moment - anything medically related (medication assistance; wound care; bathing; feeding and dressing); driving to appointments (but I can meet you there and help arrange transport); full cleaning, but I will recommend a cleaning company if you need that service; and completion of full meals, but I can recommend a meal supply company and help get it all set up.
I am insured with Vulnerable Section Check and Red Cross Basic First Aid.
“Elizabeth was so helpful, patient caring with my father in law, who moved recently from his house into assisted living. She also works quickly and efficiently, and has a lot of insight and experience that can help families who are navigating the sometimes difficult transition with an elderly relative. I don’t hesitate to recommend her.”
